Blair Cumming made our move possible
    
    Blair Cumming was incredibly helpful to my wife and me when we decided to trade our family home of 38 years for a three-generation house. We were looking for a property that would work as two apartments so that we could share the space with our daughter, her husband, and our new granddaughter.
    
    The kind of house we wanted, in a good neighbourhood, was much more difficult to find than my wife and I had expected, and we believe it is only because of Blair’s skill, knowledge, and persistence that we found what is almost the perfect house. And, as I’ve told him since, we knew that the neighbourhood he led us to was good, but it turns out that it’s even better than we thought. How often does that happen?
    
    Blair talked us through the financial pitfalls and possibilities of such a move, and helped us identify which areas of the city would work for us. He forwarded listings of potential houses, then took us to see a range of possible neighbourhoods. This helped us narrow down the neighbourhoods where we wanted to live, and also helped us create a list of features that were most important to us.
    
    We eventually found three houses that seemed to fit our needs. He warned us off making a bid for an attractive house in the Riverdale area, cautioning that it wouldn’t leave us with enough money to do the renovations we needed. We missed out in a 10-way auction on the second house, so when the third house came up, with Blair’s support, strategizing, and guidance, we made a bully offer, and got the property without waiting for it to go to auction.
    
    Blair helped us with all aspects of the search, selection, financial assessment, legal details, and supported us through the somehow inevitable problems with the bank. Our search would have been much harder without his guidance, calm candor, and willingness to keep going when it would have been easy to give up. He recommended painters to prep our former house for sale, a photographer who made our property look gorgeous, movers to help us get our stuff from our former house to our new house, a law firm to handle the paperwork, and even loaned us Rubbermaid boxes to help us move. He did it all, and we appreciated all of it.
    
    We started our search in April, and finally made the successful offer to purchase in July, and Blair never wavered in his support, assurance, or guidance. Without his help, we wouldn’t be where we are today, and the process would have been both scarier, more expensive, and much more difficult.
    
    When you are making a life decision as important as buying a new house and selling an old one, you need Blair at your side. We can’t imagine anyone could be better. We are very appreciative of his help, and strongly recommend him.

Blair is one of the most reliable people I've ever met. As our Realtor, he went above and beyond the call of duty ... which we needed since we were buying our Toronto home while living in California. Blair did all the grunt work for us, with no complaint, and found us an amazing home ... for an amazing price. He took great care in our needs and was honest and trustworthy. I wouldn't hestitate to hire Blair again. However, he did such a good job this time that we may just stay in this home forever! 

As professional as they come. Blair was patient and respectful as my wife and I looked for our new home. He took the time to show us different neighbourhoods, and never once did I feel pressure to buy, if the house wasn't just right. On the sale side, Blair provided a very thorough step-by-step plan on how we were going to best market our house. In the end I firmly believe that it was because of Blair that we extracted as much value from our previous house as we did.
